Contemporary accommodation for couples in Waternish, Isle of Skye

Tern House and The Byre

Tern House originally known as the Turn House, due to its location where the road turns down to Stein, the house dates from around 1860 and was renamed Tern House by a romantic former mariner some 30 years ago.  It has been extensively rebuilt since 2001 under the guidance of award winning local architects. The Byre makes the perfect retreat from a busy world and we rent out exclusively to couples.  Set on a tranquil hillside with a breathtaking panorama. It was also rebuilt using the same architects in 2004 and combines contemporary interiors, hand-crafted from limed-oak and Caithness slate, with traditional exteriors to create a gentle blend of old and new.
